“One Child, One Teacher, One Pen, and One book can change the world” - Malala Yousafzai

Education is the most important tool we can use to change the world. Helphen India focuses on this and hopes to inculcate the importance of education. Project Kinder is an ambitious initiative that aims to teach English and mathematics to government school children. Through this project, we aim to develop English speaking skills among young minds and guide them to better opportunities in life with the help of the members of Helphen, as well as external volunteers, who contribute to making this project a success. We are currently taking classes for the children of the old PUMS school in Vellore and we plan to expand this project to other schools soon. After our interaction with the children, one thing is clear throughout, their willingness and motivation to learn. We’ve always been greeted by the joy and excitement in the faces of the children who are enthusiastic all the time about the new things they are about to learn. In a world where charity is restricted to money, providing education is the smallest act of kindness which is worth more than the grandest intention
